It is not only spring that has arrived in Paris but also summer, autumn and winter. Yes, all the four seasons. At least at the exhibition of Maison et Objet where the visitors could see the new trends of all the seasons.
One of the most well-known and biggest interior design fairs, the Maison et Objet opened its gates to the visitors in January.
We were very curious about the new trends and ideas of this year. More than 3200 (!) exhibitors showed their products in eight huge pavilions. This variety is almost incomprehensible, we could see examples of every style and every trend without exception.
My personal impression was that although nothing new is under the sun, the designers could create fresh combinations. In spite of the similarities every exhibitor could make a twist and add their own bit of style, thus created unique products.
Among the furniture the natural style, the simple design and untreatead surfaces were very popular. Likewise, the accessories were natural, made of plants and wood. All over the exhibition there were many plants and flowers, that is reflected in the trends of year 2017 as well.
The classic, aristocratic style was also present at the exhibition but it was not among my favorite ones. The most famous brands showed their products on more hundred square meter. The textile, wallpaper, accessories, kitchenware and other products were exhibited in separate sections. This also indicates how great the need is for nice objects in our environment. It is also not surprising that the exhibition took place in Paris, which is the center of the world of beauty.
